About
Why is prompt payment important?
We understand that occasionally clients may have questions about their invoice. However, prompt payment is essential to allow us to continue providing a reliable, professional service.
All of our dog walkers are paid for their work regardless of when client payments are received. In many cases, walkers are paid before we receive payment from clients. In addition to their regular pay, our dog walkers receive holiday pay and sick pay, which helps ensure continuity of care for your dog.
Alongside walker wages, your fees also contribute to the ongoing costs of running a professional dog walking service, including:
Insurance cover for all dog walkers
Team Leaders who manage schedules, welfare and communication
Cover walkers when your usual walker is on holiday or unwell
Administration and invoicing
Website and client portal systems
Telephone costs to ensure we are contactable and able to respond to queries
Business systems and operational overheads
These costs continue every month, regardless of whether invoices are paid on time.
What if I disagree with my invoice?
If you believe there is an error on your invoice, please contact us so we can review it. However, withholding the full payment while a query is investigated causes significant difficulty for a small business.
If part of the invoice is clearly correct, we kindly ask that you pay the amount you know you owe, and clearly tell us which specific walks or charges you are querying. This allows us to resolve any issues fairly while ensuring our team can continue to be paid on time.
Our commitment to fairness
All walks are fully itemised, and we are always happy to explain charges or correct genuine mistakes. What we cannot sustain is ongoing work being provided without payment.
Prompt payment and clear communication help us:
Pay our walkers fairly and on time
Maintain reliable cover and continuity for your dog
Continue operating a safe, insured and well-managed service
Thank you for your understanding and for supporting the people who care for your dog 🐾
